Dear Friends and Family;
It is with great sadness to tell you that our dear friend Bob Kaufman passed away late this
morning, March 9th. He was with his amazing wife Kelly, brothers Andrew and Michael Kaufman,
and best friend Todd Hill when he left us peacefully and comfortably. The outpouring of love,
prayers, and support from everyone has helped Bob and his family have the strength to endure
the past few weeks.
Please keep Kelly, Sophia, Georgia and the Kaufman family in your thoughts and prayers.
We will always love you Bob Kaufman!
Services will be held at Shir Hadash on Friday, March 11th at 11:00am.

Dear Friends and Family-
01/21/2011
It's with both joy and sadness that Bob and his family have made the decision for Bob to come
home from the hospital under the care of Hospice of the Valley. Bob will feel great comfort and
peace being surrounded by his dedicated wife Kelly, loving daughters Sophia and Georgia and
extended family.
Bob may have the energy to visit with friends over the coming days and weeks. If you would like
to schedule time to come by for a visit please email his brother Michael Kaufman at
michaeljkaufman@gmail.com.
The Kaufman's have so loved and appreciated all the support from the community over the past
few months. Delicious meals have been delivered and many more will need to be scheduled. If
you would like to be included in the support calendar and website, please email Renee Hill at
rhill@apr.com or go to the link below...

Bob has been working so hard, staying so positive and been feeling all the love, that he has
earned a trip to the Rehab Center. He will be doing Physical Therapy for 3 hours a day to regain
his strength and mobility. Bob needs to save all his energy for this hard work and his visits with
his girls.
Visitation over the next few days will be limited to his immediate family. To send your warm wishes
please write on his Facebook Wall or in the Helping Hands Wishes Blog. Kelly will share all your
love!

Once again, Bob has shown us that he is a true fighter. Bob is showing incredible resilience
against the lung disease that has developed over the past two weeks. He’s working to regain his
strength and the hope is that he can be moved to the rehab center at Mission Oaks in order to
get him back on his feet again.
Bobby is having daily visits with his girls and needs to keep his energy up for these precious
moments. Limited visitation is allowed…if you would like to schedule a time please contact
Michael Kaufman michaeljkaufman@gmail.com.
Many people have reached out and offered to help the Kaufman’s through this difficult time. We
are setting up a calendar for meals and other support for Kelly and the girls over the next few
weeks. Please stay tuned for new opportunities. If you would like to be included in the calendar
and receive updates from the Kaufman’s please email Renee Hill at Rhill@APR.com.

We wanted to provide a brief and somewhat general update regarding Bob and his ongoing battle
with Brain Cancer.
Bob’s family has let us know that another challenge has come across him requiring a procedure in
the past 24 hours involving his lungs. The specifics are not clear, but we do know the physicians
will be doing a biopsy to further investigate things with Bob.
They will keep him in ICU on a ventilator over the next 2-3 days. The physicians hope to deal with
Bob’s lungs before they can address any other residual issues.
Bob has always been about success, strength and family. As you know, Bob has looked this beast
right in the eye for over a decade with incredible strength and tenacity. And with his situation he
has time and again turned a setback into recovery. We ask that you take a moment with your
families to give prayer and thoughts of strength for Bob and his family.
Updates will be posted….on Bob’s progress once we receive word from the Kaufman’s.
As visitation is limited, please send your best thoughts via email or Facebook posts.
